March 2022 — Present

Video Production

My love of film and television is at the root of my passion for video production. Over the past year, I have built up my video skills as Video Editor at the Daily Northwestern, a freelance videographer covering campus events, and a multimedia intern at Circle of Blue.

I now have a working knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud, particularly Premiere Pro, Audition, After Effects,

Photoshop, and Indesign.

In celebration of Earth Day, I investigated "Project Survival," Northwestern's 1972 Earth Day event that was attended by thousands across the country. To create this video, I interviewed multiple sources, including the director of the Environmental Policy department. I also spent hours looking through museum and library archival footage.

Benghali-American illustrator Radhia Rahman hosted a sketching workshop at Northwestern in honor of APIDA Heritage Month. I was there to capture students' creations and interview her about her journey to becoming a full-time artist. Rahman later reposted the video to her Instagram of 43k followers.

The Northwestern Middle Eastern and North African student group hosted a concert in downtown Chicago. The night featured artists Bayou and Saint Levant, with DJ sets throughout.

On campus, I do freelance videography for student groups and theatre productions. I ensure client satisfaction throughout all stages of the video production process and always deliver my videos on time.

For Circle of Blue, I created a video spotlight on Glen Canyon Dam's alarming decline in water level. I researched and wrote the script, recorded and sound mixed professional grade voiceover, and used Photoshop and After Effects to create data visualizations. The video was posted to YouTube and Instagram, amassing over 2000 views.

I developed media assets using After Effects for a weekly YouTube and Instagram video series called "What's Up With Water?" The videos released in conjunction with Circle of Blue's longer podcast episodes. By creating streamlined After Effects templates, I effectively repurposed audio content for video-dominant platforms, increasing the reach of each WUWW episode by an average of 500 views.
